This is my first and only serious project with Google SketchUp. The model was created from several photographs, a couple of reference measurements, and a heck of lot of back-of-the-envelope calculations.
There are two versions of this project. The "sketchy" one (depicted on the left half of the image) was my original model. It was the most detailed, with individually placed geometry for all windows and doors. This version weighs in at 3052 edges and 785 faces.
The photo-realistic version (depicted on the right half of the image) is a simplified version of the original, meeting the guidelines for inclusion in Google's 3D Warehouse. This version is textured with some of the original photographs I took for the project. With most exterior and interior geometry removed, this version weighs in at 1597 edges and 264 faces. This version has been accepted by Google and is now featured in the "3D Buildings" layer for Google Earth.
