Removing the "DOS Prompt" menu using RegEdit

Apparently on some systems it is impossible to remove the "DOS Prompt" option once you put it in (this seems to happen in Windows 2000, for example).

If you find yourself in this predicament, use RegEdit to correct the problem. Use the "Find" command to search for the string "DOS Prompt" (or whatever you called your menu item). You should find it under the path:

   My Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\DOS_Prompt
Now, simply delete the key "DOS Prompt". Or, alternatively, you may modify the command by changing the value under the "command" key.
Warning: Improper use of RegEdit may cause bad things to happen to your computer. If you are unsure of yourself, ask a seven year old for help.
Note: In addition to solving your problem, a seven year old will likely attempt to use your computer to break into the Pentagon's mainframe and start a nuclear war. He probably will succeed (that is a lot less challenging than RegEdit, mind you), so, just in case, make sure you have your radiation suit well tailored and ready to go.
