I was originally going to put these animated headings on my title page, but I gave up the idea. Not only were they distracting, but they also only work under Internet Explorer. If you would like to see how these headings work, just view the source code for this page.
Hint: The functioning of this page has nothing to do with african beetles.
Here are some links, with an animated "ballooning" effect.
For an excellent DHTML reference, I suggest Danny Goodman's Dynamic HTML: The Definitive Reference. Although the book is primarily about designing dynamic HTML sites, it includes a thorough HTML tag reference and a complete CSS (cascading style sheet) reference, making it useful for just about any web site designer. I used this book extensively when designing these web pages and use it at work all the time. Highly recommended.
